The 2020 Star Worlds organizers continue to hold planning meetings via Zoom. The purpose of the meetings are to assess the global situation and determine how regatta planning could and should continue. Travel restrictions, stay-at-home orders, and social distancing rules change daily and make any future planning difficult. The committee will continue to meet monthly to reassess the global situation and make planning decisions accordingly. It was decided, that in fairness to everyone involved, a final decision to cancel should be made 90 days prior to the regatta, or August 13. If developments allow us to host the regatta as planned, we must expect it will be held under new procedures and requirements that will change the regatta formats and social functions at the very least.
